School of Evangelism

Evangelism Training

The goal is to equip laypeople with the skills to conduct both personal and public evangelism. The impetus for the centre of evangelism comes from:

  • “Every church should be a training school for Christian workers” (Christian Service, p. 59).
  • “The work of God in this earth can never be finished until the men and women comprising our church membership rally to the work and unite their efforts with those of ministers and church officers” (Gospel Workers, p. 352).
  • “The work of God in this earth can never be finished until the men and women comprising our church membership rally to the work and unite their efforts with those of ministers and church officers” (Gospel Workers, p. 352).
  • “Many would be willing to work if they were taught how to begin” (Christian Service, p. 59).

School of Evangelism

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a growing church. As the church is multiplying, it has more urgent needs than ever. Establishment of the 3AM Network School of Evangelism will meet the following needs:

The need of nurturing new members to be faithful to the Lord.

The need of more trained leaders who can nurture new members.

The need of more leaders equipped to do personal and public evangelism.

The need of more leaders specialized in teaching children, youth, and adults.

The need of more lay leaders to work together with pastors in fulfilling the gospel commission.

This work will be accomplished through the following:

• The training of laypeople on how to conduct personal and public evangelism. This training can be provided in local churches

• Establish a centre of evangelism in Gweru where students can enroll in classes to be trained in personal and public evangelism. Classes will be both in person and virtual

• Membership retention through nurturing of members for commitment and faithfulness to God

• Training local church leaders for personal evangelism that includes small group ministry

• Training local church leaders and members for public evangelism

• Training local church leaders and members for children and youth evangelism
